About

Between the Contours

Bio: I grew up obsessed with places. Maps. Globes. Nations. Countries. The people that live in them and the things they do. I studied anthropology and history all through college but didn't begin traveling until early in my adult life. After studying abroad in Israel I was hopelessly hooked. Since then I've backpacked Europe, hitched a train across Siberia, and lived for two years in Mongolia volunteering with the US Peace Corps. Now I combine my love of travel with a love for writing and bring to you this blog. Get lost with me!

Oh wow, I can’t wait until I go travelling when I’m a bit older 😀 I’ll definitely be following you to see what adventures you get up to next!

    • Thanks for following! I hope you get out there and start exploring as soon as you’re ready, the world is amazing and there’s so much to see. Until then I hope to send some inspiration your way.

You’re welcome 🙂 Hopefully I’ll get some time to travel when I go to University! I need to start saving money for travel funds instead of spending it aha

Hi Thanx for them kin words too. Yes sure I can give you any tips. I just need to know if you already has any plan set> start in Bangkok go south and then north? After Thailand where are you going next?

    • I’ll be up north around Chiang Mai. I’ll be working in mostly rural villages. In my downtime I hope to get to explore a bit, I don’t know if I’ll be sent down south at all. Any tips for up around Chiang Mai would be greatly appreciated though! Besides Thailand, I may be striking out into Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Its all still kind of up in the air still.

Sounds like you will be in the right place. people want to live in Chiang Mai cuz of the trips outside the city in the beautiful nature, fishing, trekking, countryside. I know more about Chiang Rai than Chiang Mai.

    Hi Justin,

I was accepted into the Peace Corps for an assignment in Mongolia. I feel fortunate to have come across your blog and would love to chat with you further about it. I hope you’d be willing to answer some questions for me, before I make a long term commitment. What is the best way to reach you?

    Thanks

    Katya
